A Card and A TIP

Well I wasn't planning on posting a card today but seeing as I had an interesting afternoon I thought..why not...I actually have something on my mind and needing to spill a little. I love my readers who post wonderful comments...I love the encouragement it gives me when a comment is made in admiration of my cards and other work that I post. It is because of you that keeps me active with my blog.

However..............there are those that like to use and abuse ones blog for personal vindication. Lets face it, hidng behind a screen is so much easier than facing oneself in the mirror...even facing anything period really...it can be ugly when you actually turn the light on and see who's lookin back at you...which is usually the reason why hiding is a comfort for a cowardly person. I'm a very observant, intuitive, and aware person...and I saw right through this particular poster who decided to use my blog to promote their slander. "ANONYMOUS" TIP: My husband and I are alot more computer savvy than  this poster gives us credit for and it is known who it is. Come JANUARY 1st I hope this poster gets the picture loud and clear...move on...get a life and stop dwelling on what cannot be controlled...although I'm sure you tried...and failed...miserabley.

On to the card and to my regular readers :) I love this set that I used for this card. It is from Little Paper Shop also from the Global set just like from the previous card that posted. The Embossing folder used, I had never used before even though I got as soon as it was available....which was about a year ago maybe or even longer I'd think. Anyway, this card did in fact take alot of time to make but was a breeze when I massed produced them...the most difficult part was placing the winter leaves and then adding the glitter...

Well I hope you all like it and please excuse my blurb on a particular poster.

Have a great Day! I know I will :D

Winter Cottage

It's nice a sunny this morning and I'm feeling pretty good seeing as I'm almost done my xmas gift sets :) This is a card that I made in a set, but not sure if I'll mail them out as is or gift it as a set...still undecided :) My goal with most of the sets that I did make was to use up materials or colors of paper I 've never used before or just neglected to use.

So here is one of favorites and one of hubby's favorites :) hope you all like it...Have a great day!

My Christmas Tree Set

Hi everyone here is a set I made with my favorite tree images from Rubbernecker. I was going for a more comtemporary vintage look with this beautiful paper I found at a dollar store...I think it might be KI memories but not positive.
It's gloomy here and I'm feelng really lethargic today because of the weather so I'm goin g to keep this quite short.

I would like to shout out to a wonderful person named Christyne. My thoughts and prayers are with you my dear. Hope all goes well. God Bless.

Everyone have a great day...

Simple Season's Greetings

Good Morning :) I've made a lot of Xmas sets this year and here is one them. I've been using colors I wouldn't normally use and haven't ever used because I hoard them..lol...
I'm loving the gold pearls but the one I use are all attached to one piece of adhesive so detaching them is a bit of a pain. If anyone knows where I can get gold pearls please let me know.

Cuttlebug folder was used for the BG and old Sizzix snowflake die to bring out the second BG. I also finally used my Flourishes Spellbinders as an accent. The satin ribbon finished is off nicely :)

Thanks for looking! Have a great day

Card Recipe:
Stamps: Recollections snowflake, SU To You and Yours
Paper: SU VV, BB, Kraft, Unknown kraft textured.
Ink: Versamark, SU Close to cocoa
Embellishments: Ribbon, Gold Pearls, Spellbinders, MS Punch, Cuttlebug folder, Sizzix Die, Corner Rounder.

White Poinsettias for my mom....

Well hello everyone things have still been pretty much the same in my life but....whatever!!! I'm going to do my best to get through my days without too much crap...lol...
So here is a card I made with my mom in mind. She loves Poinsettias and used my set from GinaK Designs that I got last year and finally decided to break it open :) The gold paper I had frpm laster year too an can't find it anymore which really bites because it's nice and thin..The card stock is too thick an never would've been able to get the punches through them. I don't think I could dup this card even if I tried..so I'm not sure if she'll get this one or if I should attempt another one...hmmm...I'll see how I feel... :)

Thank you to those who posted such comforting and supportive comments...I do appreciate it...it's one of the biggest reasons why I love blogging and sharing my work. All of you make my time worth while :) Thank you for putting a smile on my face :)

Card Recipe:

Stamps: GinaK A Year of Flowers
Ink: Versamark, Embossing powder (gold)
Paper: WC 140lb,WW (SU), Unknown gold
Embellishments: Martha Stewart Punch, gold beads, Cuttlebug Folder, Cuttlebug Die.

I apologize...

For my absence. I've been going through some family stuff and it's been really tough to keep up with my blog. It just never seems to end in my household. So when I don't blog anything for about 10 days you know...uh ho...Michelle's life is being turned upside down again...lol....that sounds so bad doesn't it...I mean sometimes it's because of being away with life just getting busy, but usually when I'm away this long it generally means it's one thing after another and it's taking it's toll. I did say previously in one of my other posts that this is the time of year when I wish it were simpler....too many things going on from the month of Sept. straight through until Christmas...Not to mention I do suffer from Seasonal Depression...So some days are definitely tougher then others. Things will get better I keep saying....well it is Friday and looking forward to a Chocolate martini later. *BIG GRIN*...lol...going out later for a friends B-day.

I will be posting some work that I've done for Chirstmas so make sure you stay tuned for that :)
Until then...hope everyone has a great weekend.

Love My Recollections Stamps :)

Some of the ladies on SCS started talking about the new stamps Mikes just got in, and of course I had to go and check it out here in Canada...They were awesome! So I bought a bunch and the 2 I used for this card were the Holly and Berries, and the Peace sentiment. I decided to do the color challenge today because last week was just a distaster...Purple was the Ways To Use It Challenge. It's not a good color for me to try...here it is in my SCS Gallery. I love the color I just can't work with it the way I want too...I will keep trying :) Maybe I shouldn't have used black...oh well...this one I'm quite happy with so I hope you all like it :)

Card Recipe
Paper: SU, Kraft, Bravo Burgandy, Very Vanilla, Merry Moments DP
Stamps: Recollections Holly and Peace Sentiment, Studio G ornaments
Ink: Versamark, Momemto Rich Cocoa
Embellishments: Burgandy Pearls, Crimping Iron, Gold Pen, Dazzling Diamonds.

Blog-Aversary and My Anniversay!!!! Update

It's my 10 year anniversay with my hubby :) So here is a shout out to him with a little note of love.

"Dear Robert,
A little tribute to you to start your day with a lot of love..............
I knew I loved you before I met you...
I had a dream...and you came true...
you are my love of loves, my heart of hearts, my souls of souls...you are the air I breathe...
You were sent to me when I needed love most in my life....you are my lifetime gift....Thank You For loving me unconditionaly!
I Love You My Sweet Robert! Huggs and Kisses
Your Butterfly Kiss......."
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Okay enough of the mushy stuff..lol...Another Set :) This was made with the Cranberry CS from SU. These brass charms are my favorite. I love the elegant shape of these reindeer.
I went to Michaels this weekend and saw the MS punches that were on the shelf and want just about all of them :) I saw the new corner punch which I did drooled over and thought...okay....not today...maybe next week, seeing that I've already gone over my weekly budget of craft supplies. Now for those of you that are inquiring about the MS scoring tool and wanting a review or any info on it here some for you. I spoke with the scrapbooking instructer at Michaels and she said she loves it because it'll make envelopes, mind you they are a little larger than we cardmakers need them to be but a card maker can make a card to fit the size of the envelope. She does not like it for scoring 12x12 paper because it comes up short. Her advice is to stick with the scor-it or scor-pal. There are too many cons than pros. Now if you are anything like me I have to have all the tools...well almost...lol...so I'll be getting one when they are back in stock and I'll be giving all of a personal review of this tool.
BLOG-AVERSAY GIVE-A-WAY TOMORROW!!!
If you haven't posted yet for a chance to win do it now I'll be choosing a name at 11am est.
Hi everyone! here is another set I made...the inside isn't finished because I plan on putting an individual saying in each one. I think the CS is SU Truely Thyme...or something like that. I could be mistaken, it's been awhile since I've used this color and these are just darling with the brass ornament charms. I really did enjoy making these...I should've expanded to six a set so I can mix and match if I decide to give them away as gifts or sell them...I'm thinking Etsy.....................................................but! we'll see. I've been doing some research and may start with ebay first...if anyone has any input I'd be glad to hear it :)
Okay all I have a busy day today so I hope you have a great day!
Card Recipe:
Stamps: SU
Paper: SU CS True Thyme, Mullberry CS Ivory, Brushed gold CS
Getting A Head Start!
"Sending out quick shout out to those readers that have added my BLOG CANDY to their sidebars!!! Thank you, Thank you, Thank you!!!! YOu are all so awesome"
I got started early with some Christmas cards that I've been working on with some left over papers and embellishments that were just sitting there. I have a lot of scrapbooking supplies and stuff that I used to sell on ebay that are left ovr and now it time to start relinquishing them and clearing out my room. In the next few post you'll see what I've been doing with just scraps and left over :) Charms! Lots of charms...especially Xmas charms... :-P
I embossed the Sentiment in gold which set off the brass charms perfectly...the ribbon being a lighter shade brown/beige...I like to call "smooth latte".
The stamps I used were from the Little Paper Shop. It went perfectly with the style I was going for. Hope it tickles :)
Card Recipe:
Stamps: Little Paper Shop
Paper: SU Buckaroo Blue (i think..lol...), Mullberry lightweight CS (ivory), Brushed Gold CS
My Sisters Magic Box!
Well I have to say when I saw this box I just had to make one...it wasn't easy but I got the hang of  it and let me tell it turned out a lot better than I could've ever hoped for. I made this one for my sister wedding shower and stuck a rolled up bill in the middle.
Here is the outside of the box. Now the box is quite small but perfct to hide money in :) The gold paper used were scraps from a pile I had sitting just waiting to be used.
Click on all the pics to enlarge for more detail.
The woman who inspired this box Elaine, has a website and for those of you who love surprise type boxes you need to check her stuff out. Here is the LINK-Magic-box
Here is the inside of the box once the lid is removed...the flowers are nicely bunched before it falls into a beautiful bouncy floral arrangment. I used the cuttlebug folder for a more elegant and subtle look considering the color I chose for the flowers. Each flower was paid much attention too so when you click on the photos you'll see all the detail work.
This picture allows you see the flowers fall away from the center. The center of each flower I used light great crystal rhinestones. The two shades of cardstock I used for the small flower really stood out nicely once I added the glitter.
My sister liked and let me borrow it to put it up on my blog. I had forgotten to take pictures of it before I gave it her. Now she is married as of Oct. 23rd. and is on her honeymoon. I'll be posting a pic or two of my DD and myself as we were bridesmaids at her wedding. I hope you all like the box as much as I do. This was in fact alot more work than I expected but it turned out beautifully....Dontcha think :)
BOX Recipe:
Stamps: none
Paper: GP white, Brushed gold.
Ink: SU Ruby Red
Embellishments: Cuttlebug Folder, Rhinestones, MS Butterfly punch and leaf punch, Flower punches, Stylus, Redline tape, Pop dots, Glitter pen, Acetate
1 More Day!!! Anyone for some Blog Candy
Good morning all :) It's a beautiful sunny morning and wow what I a day I have today. Early afternoon appointment and then my busy day will go on until late this evening. With DD b-day and blog-aversary tomorrow, along with my sisters wedding this Friday I have too much to do, I still have to buy shoes :( Never mind my anniversary and two more b-day's that all land in the first week of November. I hate this time of the year...too much to do and then Christmas arrives to quickly...I barely have time to recoup.
I will have Blog Candy Posted Tomorrow!!! :)) I hope you all will check in and celebrate with me.
This card was CASED!! I saw it and loved it and had to make one just like it to see if I could actually make it it look like hers. Here is a LINK to he original on SCS. She's got some awesome cars in her gallery. The only thing different I did was eliminate the ribbon and used stickles glitter for the tree as apposed to color. I loved making this that I have come up with a few more of my own and will post them sporadically throughout the next couple of weeks.
Well I hope everyone has a great day :) Time for me to get on with the rest of my day :)
Card Recipe:
Stamps: SU A wish for peace
Ink: StazOn Black, SU Markers
Paper: GP, Textured Denim CS in Blue and Gray, Acetate
5 more days...still thinking
I'm still thinking...I want to celebrate the day properly...It is my DD birthday as well...the countdown is on...I'm sure I'll come up with something this weekend that everyone will like and even might enjoy.
Yay! it's nice and sunny today..I suffer from seasonal depression and can't stand the winter because of this reason. I do have indoor day lighting and the whole deal but sometimes natural light is what I need to give me a happy boost...or a Rickards Red...I love my beer..lol...I like white wine as well but enough about all of that.
So this wedding card was a sample I made for a friend who was attending a wedding that was arranged and well it wasn't quite appropriate because of the sentiment...I didn't know it was arranged or I would have chosen different words for the sentiment. This was a difficult card even though it looks simple...but I loved he result in the end.
Til tomorrow :)
Stamps: None
Ink: None
Paper: Strathmore 100lb Vellum Smooth paper for the base, Clear printed acetate, SU WW
Hey everyone! So I've got 6 more days 'til my blog-aversary and I still haven't decided on what I'm going to do...I have a couple things in mind but nothing I'm willing to give away just yet....wow has it been almost a year...the day of my blog-aversary is also my DD 16th B-day so it might be a really busy day...lol...
So here is another Wedding/Anniversary card. I found this paper in my stash by Rusty Pickle...I've got lots of it actually I had forgotten that I had it and thought this would be beautiful for a universal card Wedding/Anniversary/Valentine's....It was however my intention to make a wedding card but it's such a simple card that it could be used for a lot of different occasions. Another card without a stamped image...Hope you all like it.
Have a great day :)
Lemon Lime Lemonade.....
That is what I see when I look out my front window. This big ole tree on my neighbors yard nearly covers our entire front yard in shade in the summer which is fantastic on those hot days. But when fall starts nearing and leaves start falling...they all tend to fall on our yard...the tree is really big and very yellow right now with some green towards the bottom where the sun can get too it...the sun is out and bright right now which makes it sparkle some from the rainfall earlier. I love fall....I just don't like how soon winter arrives after that.
I almost forgot that my blog-aversary is in a week...hmmmm....a Give-a-way sounds like a great idea what you all think :) Keep Checking Back !
Here is a card I made for a wedding...I actually made quite a few for people and these were some of them...tomorrow I'll post another one...click on the picture for larger view...the pic is still quite unexposed...I forgot to set the setting on my camera back to the original setting after my DD uses it. I apologize for the quality.
Until Tomorrow:)
Card Recipe
Stamps: none
Paper: Ivory heavy weight artist paper from Walmart. I Love it!!!
Ink: none
Embellishments: Prima Flowers with MS pearl centers, MS Lace Punch, Offray 1 1/2 inch ivory satin ribbon, Spellbinders dies.
Help! I need help organizing my stamp sets!
Hey everyone! Okay so I will be posting some cards this week but in the mean time I am organizing my stamp sets. I thought about cataloguing them on clear sheets by stamping them with Stazon ink so I know what stamps go with what set just in case one gets mixed up or lost in another set. I have bookcases but I have stuff on them...I was thinking about getting new bookshelves from Ikea so I'm able to add shelves as I go. Now my small dilemma is whether or not to catalogue the actual stamp sets alphabetical or by category. I figured that if catalogue the sets on clear sheets it would easy to just go and find the sets, but then I thought about space and time. Easy means fast...easy means less time...equals a good plan...lol...which I don't have...lol...
I have to start with my SU sets first then I can figure out my clear and unmounted sets.
Pictures are appreciated and ideas to keep cost down will help also.
Help me please :(
Thanks All
I'M BACK!! :) With a new Card!!
Hi everyone!!! I've missed you all and of course blogging! It's been a tough year to say the least but even tougher this summer. Things are still crazy in my life but schedules are now back to normal and I can get back to my love of card making and stamping! I hope everyone had a safe and fun summer. I wanted to let those who supported me when I quit smoking that I am still going strong and feeling amazing :) I don't feel free from all the cravings yet but going to the gym definitely helps. :))
I made this card for a friend of mine who had a wedding to go to. It was someone from her workplace that I made the Bat Mitzvah invites for. The link for that post is HERE. The picture does not do this card any justice because of the size and materials that were used. Check the list below for more details.
The card is 6x6 and I used Prima Say It In Crystals for an added elegant flare for both the outside and the inside. As you can see the stem of the flower is the same scroll as the inside of the card. I was going for something fresh and elegant and my friends loved it when the saw I personalized it :) I have a couple more wedding cards that I came up with that I will post this week. Hope you all have a good day :)
Card Recipe:
Stamps: None
Paper: 140 Vellum Smooth (strathmore), SU WW.
Ink: None, Computer Generated Sentiment.
Embellishments: Antique Brads, Prima Say it in Crystals, Bazzill Flowers, Making Memories Acetate patterned paper, Glue Dots, SU Tab Punch.
RIP! MICHAEL JOSEPH JACKSON-1958-2009
I can't even begin to tell the kind of impact this man had on me as a kid and growing up....it is still unbelievable to me that he's no longer going to create his kind of genius. I am seriously mourning my childhood. He was my childhood and when he passed I felt like it died with him...does that make sense...my heart broke when CNN finally confirmed his death.
I loved to dance as a kid...I copied every move he had in all of his videos including Thriller. He was the happiest memory of my unhappy childhood. I escaped listening to his music and dancing to his songs perfecting his moves...going to the thriller concert, my very first concert ever was definitely the highlight of my childhood...yes I am still a die hard fan even throughout his weirdness. His talent will and has surpassed all of it...
It doesn't matter to me what people say about him...there is no one like him...he had more of a positive impact on this planet than his negative will ever have.
I was discussing how big this is going to get with my DH and we both believe that this is going to be bigger than the Princess Di death...Elvis's death even JFK....
Tell me what you think....no bashing please.
A Kind of Kindness
Hi everyone! Sorry I've been MIA. If things didn't get to me so easily maybe I wouldn't be so stressed all the time. But I am happy to say that part of that stress is quitting smoking...! Yes I am a smoker. :( Or at least up until May 20th. Today is my two week stretch and yesterday was the toughest so far. Yay for me...lol...my crazy DD went for a walk with me last night because I was seriously jonesin' for a ciggy. We went to the store at around 10:00pm and of course, what cures a nicfit better than chocolate right...lol...Well I had a sugar rush and couldn't get to sleep after that...I should know better. Oh well.
Here is a card very similar to the other I have done in the last little while. I really enjoyed making such soft looking cards. I haven't really done it before and now I'm glad I did. Hope you all like it
Card Recipe:
Paper: Colorbok CS pack, 140 lb watercolor paper
Stamps: SU Soft Summer
Ink: Su Close to Cocoa, Pale Plum,
Embellishments: Spellbinders dies, paper piercing, ribbon, pearls, Gold Perfect Pearls.
I'll be posting pics sometime over the weekend so make sure you stay tuned :)
Celebrating Mom's ~ Card 4
Good Morning :)
Just a quick note about this card..
The making of this card was actually intended for a friend of mine. I plan on putting a really nice verse inside but I haven't written it out yet. I will be using vellum to print out on and attaching it to the inside loosely.
This woman who inspired this card is my personal inspiration with creativity and motherhood. She makes me laugh and comforts me when I'm feeling down, at a loss or just down right fed up with being mom. Honestly, when I feel like I lost my identity as a person/ woman/wife because I have to play the mom, warden, the cook, the cleaners, and everything else she will be the one to to put a smile on my face, calm my nerves and my stress starts to disintegrates and I start feeling like myself again...when we talk on the phone or see each other my spirits lift instantly...I am really hoping she doesn't check my blog today or at least until Mother's Day...lol...I haven't been able to express my gratitude the way I've wanted to and I thought of making her something personal from me would be perfect for Mother's Day as she too is a mother of two grown children. So with that being said I hope you all like the card :) I had to use ribbon on this one :)
Have a nice day all! :)
Card Recipe:
Paper: Colorbok CS and paper pack, 140lb watercolor paper.
Ink: Versafine Black, SU Close to Cocoa
Embellishments: Ribbons, Pearls, Spellbinders Dies.
Celebrating Mom's ~ Card 3
Hi everyone! Hope everyone had a nice weekend. I definitely enjoyed the weather :) Including the mini hurricane we had...well it was so quick it came and went before you could blink. It was fun trying to get everyone in the house within a 3 minute span...it became so dark and the all of sudden a gust of wind blew everything into the air...well not everything I did have a hold of my Jumbo Hot Dog...lol...I waited 3 hours for my "dog" I wasn't giving it up without a fight...lol..
Here is another general like Mother's Day Card. Even thought it has a comforting tone with the sentiment I thought it was still perfect. The background layer was distressed with Tim Holtz Distressing Inks and I have to admit I really like the look of it. I also didn't add ribbon to this one. I like not using ribbon when there is just enough not to include any. I like simple but still preferred a full flavoured card.. :) Hope you all like it.
Card Recipe:
Paper: Colorbok, GP, 140lb watercolor
Stamps: Very Versatile, Botanical Blooms
Inks: Tim Holtz Distressing Inks, SU Chocolate Chip
Embellishments: Metal Brads, Spellbinders Dies, Stickles, MS Punch
Celebrating Mom's ~ Card 2
Hi there :) Well there's been a lot of challenges I've wanted to get too but just haven't had the chance to do them. I'm hoping that I'll have some time to myself when my DD goes to work on Sunday. I usually think better when she's not around to drive me nuts...lol...then again she is 15 and everyone keeps telling me they are monsters at that age...I need to hang in there. What I need a vacation...just me away from reality for awhile :) Sound bad...? but in all fairness I never do anything for myself to rejuvenate, relax, and regroup. I don't think I'm going to be able to do that until she 18 :(
I think Mom's need an Island all their own where we can escape to and reinvent ourselves. I want to be waited on hand and foot for a change and fully pampered...oh but it's just a dream away...lol....
Here is another card celebrating moms...hope you all like it...and look no ribbon....lol...I did use paper lace which I'm now in love with...I just love how it finishes the card.
Have Great Day All :)
Celebrating Mom's ~ Card 1
ETA: The most amazing BLOG CANDY HERE edited 12:32 pm est. seriously need to check this out...it's definitely the mother load of Blog Candy!!!
Hi Everyone! Well I am looking forward to the nice weather heading our way this week. I plan on taking advantage of the nice weather seeing as there are many events happening in the next few days. Birthdays, housewarmings, BBQ's... (my personal favorite) Seriously I can't resist a juicy bbq steak lapped in special sauce and roasted veggies savored in olive oil and Italian seasoning with lemon zest! Gosh I haven't had breakfast yet...... Now I'm starving!
Okay let's change the topic just for a moment anyway :) I'm going to be posting mother's day cards for the next week. All of which will be in a range of general to more personal. Cards where you can give to a friend who is a mom to cards that you give to your own mom. I hope you all enjoy them as they come...this one had no ribbon :( I'm not fond of it and it could be because it's ribbon deprived...lol... I am loving my New spellbinders though ladies...and I'm telling you if you don't have them get them! I'm a little more behind then some of the others who get something once it's available but, I like to see what you can use them for before I get them myself. This one is the Deckled Edge and I love it for that vintage look or a more natural look...The paper is all from Colorbok, on old pack I had been holding on too for far too long.
I have to make a small shout out to my DH. He wanted me to know that he does read my blog and even repeated some of it to me :) I love that he supports me...he makes me laugh when he tells me that he "does" read my blog with that puppy dog look he gives me. I don't actually believe him all the time because he doesn't leave comments...so it's hard to know who is reading and who is just browsing....KWIM..? Anyways my DH...I love you for being my #1 Fan :)
Have a wonderful day everyone!
WT214~Framed & CC214~ For You.....
Good Morning all!
Well I tried my best to combine 2 challenges into one card but this really gave me some trouble...I wanted to make a universal card that I could use for Mother's Day or any day really.
I have a lot of Sizzix dies and always loved the tulip die. They look awesome on Scrapbook pages for Mother's Day, Easter and more. This card is definitely not one of my personal favorites but here it is. I finally got my Spellbinders Dies and I'm having fun using them. I had to use a frame of some sort for the Ways To Use It Challenge and decided to combine the Color Challenge with it...So what do you all think...? Now I'm trying to stay away from the ribbon but the sentiment had to be tied on somehoooooow..... (big whine) :D I'm failing miserably aren't I...lol..
Hope you all have a wonderful day :)
Card Recipe:
Paper: SU Pink Pirouette, Bordering blue and So Saffron pattern paper, Pretty in pink BB CS
Stamps: SU ? :P
Ink: SU Chocolate Chip, Versafine Black
Embellishments: Gold Pearls.........aaaaaaaaannnnnnd yes ribbon....lol..., Sizzix Die Cuts Tulip.
SCS Challenge~CAS10~Monochromatic in Blue
Hi everyone!
I'm gonna be posting regularly from now on as I'm a little more organized than I was before. You'll be seeing a lot more from me in near future :) I'm also trying to create cards with no ribbon (UGH) I can't believe how hard it is not to include ribbon treatments (big sigh)...I have been trying to substitute with other embellishments...let me know how I'm doing...even if you think I need ribbon please...enable...lol....
I'm starting off with a challenge I finally got to do. I love monochromatic color schemes. Bazzill paper is pretty much what made me fall in love with how monochromatic looks on just about everything you create with paper.
So here is my version, which is a simple Mother's Day Card.
Card Recipe:
Stamps: SU All Holidays, Basic Grey
Paper: Bazzill CS in Blues, 100 lb Vellum Smooth CS
Ink: Versafine
Embellishments: Gold Pearls
Thanks for stopping by :)
SCS Challenge~WT212
I'm feeling pretty tickled that I got a couple of challenges done this week. My DH thught my last card was a little underdone until I told him that is was a challenge that I did. So here is something with a little more spice just for him :)
I had some really nice foiled pattern paper for this challenge MMBI, although you may not be able to see it because of the lighting in the pic.
Fall colors are so much fun to work with that was a lot simpler than usual. I also did the inside but no pic of that...I used some green rhinestones to bring out the BG paper and a couple on the inside.
Everyone have a great day :)
Card Recipe:
Stamps: Inkadinkado
Paper: MMBI patterned paper, SU Basic Black, Generic Speckled CS, WC for base.
Ink: SU Close To Cocoa, Versafine Sepia.
Embellishments: Rhinestones, Silk flowers, Brads
April Fools..? I totally forgot!! ooopppsss
(Sorry this post is so late blogger was giving me a problem this morning)
Okay my blogger went WONKY and some of the pics won't enlarge and don't know why. Sorry :(
My daughter asked me for bus fare for school this morning because we forgot to pick up her bus and that is pretty much when I remembered is was April Fools Day. Now I usually play a joke on someone but I'm grumpy this morning...or should I say now afternoon :). It wasn't fun waking up to such a gloomy and wet morning....Sorry I guess I'm a party pooper today...lol
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Well I've been saying that I was going to post pics of my AVON party goodies and finally here they are :) We had draw prizes and Bring a Friend Gifts, Thank You Gifts, Coupons, and Frequent Buyer Card! I did all the creative stuff which I enjoyed the most. Everything believe it or not was made from materials that I had lying around and too much of so I made very good use of them aaaaaaaaaaaaallll....lol.

The pic below features the Thank You gifts we gave everyone for coming to the Open House. They got a hand cream and a couple of chocolate kisses or goodies in the bag. The toppers were made from textured card stock that I had left over and those wonderful flowers from Michaels.

This pic features the 1 of the Door Prize Gifts that we had. I think I will make these again. I found the tut on SCS and loved the fact it was soooooooo simple. It's similar to a treat pouch...I embossed it with the cuttlebug, matted it and I love the AVON stamp... :) Martha Stewart letters :)

The lip balm holders were definitely a hit! Lots of people asked who made them and all fingers were pointed to me...lol...I honestly loved making all the goodies for the party. The one in black is my favorite that is I showcased in the front. Also found this tut on Yveeve's Paper Garden

I had also done baskets but I didn't get a chance to take pics of those. It got crazy once things got going...well I hope everyone has a Jokey Kinda Of Day! I think I'm going to go and curl up with my blankie...lol...

Splitcoast Challenge CAS08~Baby in Blue

Hi everyone! Well it's a nice and sunny with only a few clouds in the sky and hoping it stays that way at least for a couple more days :)

I finally got a chance to do a challenge yay! I hope you all like it...I'm a bit rusty..lol...
The paper base I used was a color from Stampin' Up's In Colors from a couple of years ago...I still cannot remember the name of it. It was with Cranberry Crisp....if anyone knows...please let me know so I can edit my post :) I feel like such a dork...it's just one of those things that are on the tip of your tongue and you just can't get at it.

Anyway this will be a short post as I will be busy today with the many emails and posts I've received about the Canadacoaster.com inquiry. Please keep posting about what you would like to see from them. Whether is be a size, shape or color...any input is welcome :)
Everyone Have A Wonderful Day!!!

Card Recipe:

Stamps: SU-Small Script

I've got a favor to ask everyone....

If any of you like coaster projects as much as I do then you might want to be apart of this. A Canadian company called Canadacoaster is thinking of expanding their scrapbooking line to more shapes, sizes and maybe even colors. I was enquiring about the rectangle shape that EclecticPaperie has in their store. The link will take you right there to see what I am speaking of.
Now CanadaCoaster has had some inquiries of this shape and I got a chance to speak with someone about it. At the this time they only have two typical shapes: 4x4 and the 4" circle. He asked me if I could give him some idea as to what scrapbookers and cardmakers alike would be looking for. I was more than happy to help with that because the rectangle shape is becoming more and more popular. The person who I spoke with was quite interested in what were looking for so let's give them some answers :)

Now here is what I'm going to ask of you. Post a comment of what shapes or sizes even colors you would like to get your hands on. Let everyone know I've this post up and get them to comment on what they'd like to see.

Wouldn't it be nice to have shapes that would work well with the spellbinders dies! Like the Octagon...or the Large Oval...oooo-what about the new rectangle shapes they just recently came out with...

Personally I would like to have the option of larger size coaster for larger projects like a 6x6 calendar, clipboard, scrapbook album, picture frames...there is so much more...(Big Sigh)

My favorite sizes would have to be:
6x6 Circle and square
5x5 Circle and Square
4x6
4.5x9 (like the Stampin' Up clipboard size)
6x9
I would love an oval shape for sure :)

So Please post your ideas and comments as many as you like and hopefully I'll have enough info compiled that I can send off an email to them for them to consider. This is a great opportunity for Stampin' Up Demos, Scrapbook instructors, even those who hold card, stamping, and scrapbook clubs. So EVERYONE PLEASE COMMENT :)

I will be posting some new pics tomorrow so don't forget to check back!
Happy Stampin'

My AVON Open House Party!

Hi everyone it's been a long time and I'm having a rough time to say the least...I'm trying to stamp but, I've not only been really busy with my Avon Open House, I've been on this new emotional rollercoaster that has me stressed out to the max. But things have been getting better. I'm hoping I'll have more time for my blog as I have definitely missed chatting with you all and sharing the new ideas that come about everyday.

Well I can't tell you how crazy things have been lately. I had an AVON Open House with two other Reps...now I have been told I was nuts to have it with other reps and should do it myself. They told me it'll cause conflicts, but I just started out with AVON and I didn't have much in they way of demos so when I was approached I agreed. I was enjoying it at first but there were things I wanted to do that I couldn't because of conflicts...lol..it definitely was an experience I probably won't do again.

We had door prizes, on the spot draws and a gift basket draws. I did all the creative stuff which of course I loved more then anything else. I will be posting pics soon and promise to start blogging more regularly :) Thanks you to everyone who sent me encouraginging emails of support :)

I've missed you all
Be Back Soon! I promise!!!!

Time to get caught up and motivated!

Well the is first thing I'm going to do is apologize for my long absence. It has been a trying couple of months to say the least. Getting sick twice in 1 month was nothing compared to the rest of mt time away. I missed blogging which is actually one of my outlets but there's just been allot to deal with and hopefully now it's come to an END! :)
I wanted to thank EVERYONE for the kind words and concern for the passing of my uncle and for when I was sick. I really appreciate it the support I get from my readers it means more than you know.
Thank Yous out to Erin and Deb for sending me cards :) it was so sweet of you t think of me. I've got a lot of thank you when I post on SCS today. I have received such beautiful cards over the holidays, it was really hard to keep track of them all. I think maybe even some of the envies ended up in the trash :( I will get to all the thank yous I promise. :)
Okay now for the Bat mitzvah Invitations that I promised I'd post.

I was very happy with the way they turned out and pretty sure the customer was in fact "tickled pink".
70 Invitations on a very short amount of time especially during the holidays when shipping is unpredictable was definitely a challenge. I did get them done and packaged for the customer even though I was sick again at the time. But I wanted them happy...the picture doesn't do them justice at all. I would've taken a photo of all before I packaged it all up so nicely but I forgot.

Hope everyone has a great day :)

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Just a little note for everyone who sent me well wishes. Thank you so much :)
HAPPY NEW YEAR TO EVERYONE!!!! YOU ALL ARE AWSOME!
But seriously I think I'm cursed or something....can you believe I'm sick again! I just got over a cold two weeks ago and I'm sick again. I was finishing the final touches on the invites I was making for a customer and thank goodness I finished them that night because the next morning I woke up and I was icky all over again...I couldn't understand it because I hadn't been around anyone who had been sick so I don't know.

The invites turned out wonderfully and hopefully when they come to pick them up they'll let me post them on my blog for all to see.

Well I need to go rest up as I found out this evening my uncle died and I'll be visiting the family tomorrow in the afternoon. I don't think I'll make it an hour but I'm hoping to feel better tomorrow seeing as I need to make the effort of an appearance before they ship his remains to his homeland for burial.

Have a nice weekend
