A Vintage Pretty

Well I'm finally finding some time to get caught up on some things before I start getting really busy with Xmas shopping and decorating the house. Which to be honest is turning out to be more than a chore as every year goes by. I used to get help from DH and DD but now it's all up to me to figure out where tree is going to go and what color scheme blah blah blah...sounds like I have the winter blues doesn't it...lol...and it's only begun..(big sigh). I think as every year goes by they don't appreciate it as much as they used too...I love Christmas but it's hard to get into the spirit when the rest of the household isn't into it. DD is 15 and all she has on her mind is money as I say (get a job girl!...lol)..and DH works 80 hours a week...so as you can see I think I'm in a Bah-Humbug kinda mood the last little while. Hence the card....Back in the day when a couple would go ice skating on a pond or a lake...or go carolling down the street in the neighborhood or around town. When people made time to enjoy the season...that is what I miss. Now this set has turned out to be my favorite and will probably be on my forever list to never get rid of. And on this one I did not do the inside because it will be customized for my Christmas card giving. The corners of this card were the most difficult for me because I actually threaded the ribbon when I probably should've punched tiny holes to do the threading. This is actually a Martha Stewart Ribbon I got on sale at Michaels. It was nice and soft so I thought it would be a breeze but it wasn't...lol. And of course I can't live without the bling and this card :)
Hopefully everyone has a great day. Time for me to get productive.

I know what you mean about finding it hard to get into the swing of things with not much help from the family!
