A Kind of Kindness

Hi everyone! Sorry I've been MIA. If things didn't get to me so easily maybe I wouldn't be so stressed all the time. But I am happy to say that part of that stress is quitting smoking...! Yes I am a smoker. :( Or at least up until May 20th. Today is my two week stretch and yesterday was the toughest so far. Yay for me...lol...my crazy DD went for a walk with me last night because I was seriously jonesin' for a ciggy. We went to the store at around 10:00pm and of course, what cures a nicfit better than chocolate right...lol...Well I had a sugar rush and couldn't get to sleep after that...I should know better. Oh well.

Here is a card very similar to the other I have done in the last little while. I really enjoyed making such soft looking cards. I haven't really done it before and now I'm glad I did. Hope you all like it

Card Recipe:

Paper: Colorbok CS pack, 140 lb watercolor paper
Stamps: SU Soft Summer
Ink: Su Close to Cocoa, Pale Plum,
Embellishments: Spellbinders dies, paper piercing, ribbon, pearls, Gold Perfect Pearls.

You can do it!! I quit over 11 years ago. I smoked a pack a day too and it was rough in the beginning but after a few months I couldn't stand to be around a smoker. I'll be honest and tell you that I gained 20lbs that first year but I was Hollywood skinny and with that weight gain I was still around a size 6. So, watch the candy. LOL Skittles were my problem but overall food just tasted really good! I remember sleeping more than normal those first few weeks--it was probably my escape from the cravings. Hubby and I had just gotten married and didn't have kids, so I could sleep often.

Good luck! You can do this and if you fall off the wagon just climb back on!

Very elegant and pretty card. The look is so soft and pleasing to the eye.

Remember God's stgrength will bring you through the smoking ordeal. My brother had to quit cold turkey after a heart attack and has been free for over a year now. Best of luck and God Bless

Thanks for becoming a follower. Just had a look at your cards but I love them. I also love your boxes and Martha Stewart stuff. You are great at packages. Have to get around to that myself one day.
I am gonna follow you too!
Good luck with the quiting. Best thing I ever did years ago. I am so happy that I don't have to stand outside in the cold to have that stupid cigarette anymore.
Two weeks already, by now you should be safe! You are gonna do it!
